VENUE Music Bar, located in the heart of Freeport Village, is all about great music and a great time. Live music plays  most Thursdays, Friday and Saturday, ranging from Blues to Rock to Folk to Funk and more!

VENUE is a gem for many reasons, not least because it’s a family-run business and was founded out of a passion for music. Gar and Betsy Roper connected with the music scene of the 60’s and 70’s, but their love for music never died. When their son Kevin decided to make music his full time career as a songwriter and performer, the idea for VENUE was born – a place that would focus on live music and having a good time, a place that did not previously exist in Freeport.

Musicians and patrons alike have called VENUE the best sounding room in Maine and their favorite place to play!

VENUE boasts an ample stage and dance floor, state of the art sound and lighting system and a large curving black and white full service bar.  It’s licensed for 140 people who can join the party with dancing and enjoying their favorite wine, beer or mixed drink.
